My Client are looking for an Archives Assistant to assist the day-to-day running of archives function through provision of an efficient administrative service.  They are a well-established local law firm that pride themselves on building strong relationships with their clients. The Role 

·         Administering the distribution of files/deeds received from the off-site storage facility and our Bradford office

·         Inputting Wills and Deeds on to the database Dealing with the re-filing of Wills and Deeds

·         Dealing with external requests for wills and deeds, typing letters and schedules and updating the database

·         Accurate file management

·         Liaising directly with fee earners and secretaries with regard to any queries on closed files

·         Responsibility for the archive warehouse to ensure that items are put away in the correct box, it is kept neat and tidy, fire safety checks etc

·         Emergency cover in General Office/Hospitality helping with the post, photocopying and making refreshments for clients

·         Covering at the Leeds office when required

·         Covering the van run between the two offices at least three time per week

·         Any other duties which may be required


The Candidate

·         Previous administrative experience

·         Previous experience of databases

·         Fast, accurate data input skills

·         Excellent attention to detail – essential

·         Able to lift and carry archive boxes (10-15 kgs)

·         Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise

·         Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels

·         Computer literate including MS Office Word and Excel

·         Clean driving licence
